Air China, Africa West Airlines select Globe Air Cargo
Air China and Africa West Airlines and have both signed general sales agreements with Globe Air Cargo, a wholly owned subsidiary of European Cargo Services (ECS).
Air China has extended its existing partnership with the company in Belgium, France and Spain by making Globe Air Cargo its exclusive general sales agent in all three countries.
The airline carries some 500 to 600 tons of air cargo a month from Benelux, France and Spain to Beijing and Shanghai.
Africa West Airlines has selected Globe Air Cargo as its cargo general sales agent from the United States to cities across its network in Central and West Africa.
Africa West moves cargo from the United States to Europe using interline partners to connect with its twice-weekly Boeing 747 freighter services from Ostend, Belgium, to Lome Airport, Togo, providing about 160 tons of freight capacity into Africa each week.
From Lome, Africa West operates scheduled daily services to points across Central and West Africa, including Abidjan, Bamako, Brazzaville, Malabo, Niamey, Ouagadougou and Pointe-Noire. Each AN-12 freighter operated by the airline from Lome can carry up to 18 tons of cargo.
Globe Air Cargo will also market AN-12F charter services in Africa on behalf of Africa West to customers in the United States.
