Air China Cargo receives first 747-400 freighter
Air China Cargo Co. Friday received the first of two new 747-400 freighters ordered from Boeing in July 2004 for a combined $400 million.
The 747-400 freighter can carry 124 tons of cargo up to 8,240 kilometers.
Air China Cargo, a joint venture formed in late 2003 by Air China and two other investors, will deploy the planes on its China/North America routes.
The second plane is scheduled for delivery in March.
