AIRBORNE EXPRESS, BELL & HOWELL REACH AGREEMENT

   Airborne Express has signed a service agreement to be the exclusive worldwide provider of express delivery services to Bell & Howell Co.

   Airborne has provided service for Bell & Howell since 1985. Under the new agreement, nearly 40 percent of the overall contract will cover Airborne's International Express project.

   Bell & Howell supplies mail sorting and processing machines and provides critical system services in addition to its more known efforts in supplying film cameras and projectors.

   The company ships extensively within Europe in addition to shipping between the United States and foreign countries.

   “They'd like every shipment billed in the currency of the country where it originates,” said Kevin Davis, Airborne's senior national account executive. “So we're modifying our billing system to make that possible.”

'    Virtually every Bell & Howell shipment is automated, whether through the Internet, Airborne's own LIBRA system or a third-party metering system, Davis added.
