Airing concerns over air cargo market — Freightonomics

How are airlines responding to increased demands across the network?

Freightonomics

With more people returning to traveling all across the country, many airlines are finding themselves short-staffed and struggling to keep up with demands. This is leading to flight delays, cancellations, frustrated passengers and delayed freight.

FreightWaves’ Anthony Smith and Zach Strickland look at how this market ties into the greater economy on this episode of Freightonomics, and they welcome Air Cargo Editor Eric Kulisch to the show to help shed some light on the situation in the skies.

The three talk memes, news and explore the Air Cargo Price Index per kilogram. Kulisch explains how Delta is planning on expanding its cargo network and why American Airlines is having such a hard time keeping planes in the skies with all this demand.
