ALASKAN TRANSPORTATION FORUM SET FOR JUNE 2
The Alaska Resource Transportation Forum will be held in Anchorage on June 2.
The one-day conference will consider more efficient ways to transport Alaskan resources in both domestic and international markets.
“The forum will instruct resource and transportation professionals in key elements to effectively plan and execute bulk freight transportation movements, primarily maritime, within and from Alaska,” the forum organizers said.
The forum is sponsored by the Alaska Resource Development Council, Alaska Miners Association, Transportation Institute, and U.S. Maritime Administration.
Confirmed speakers include Maritime Administrator William G. Schubert; Pat Gamble, chief executive officer of the Alaska Railroad; and Bill Sheffield, Anchorage port director.
