Amazon picks NextLinx software
Amazon.com has contracted with NextLinx Corporation, a provider of trade management technology, for software to integrate Amazon’s real-time global trading into its online shopping cart for users.
The NextLinx application allows Amazon.com to provide its customers with the total cost of their online international transactions by automatically determining duties and taxes for over 40 countries. Amazon.com currently ships to about 200 nations.
The NextLinx software will also screen all Amazon.com shipments against multiple government-issued lists of restricted parties, NextLinx, based in Rockville, Md., said in a statement.
