APHIS NAMES LEVINGS HEAD OF NATIONAL VETERINARY SERVICES LABS
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has appointed Randall L. Levings to director of its National Veterinary Services Laboratories.
Levings will serve as the lead manager for the laboratory and its supporting units. There are four laboratories: three are located in Ames, Iowa, and the Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, is located on Plum Island, N.Y.
The laboratories perform animal testing for veterinary services and are the only laboratories in APHIS to test for domestic and foreign animal diseases.
Levings most recently served as APHIS’ director for the Center for Veterinary Biologics.
