APL’s container traffic up 11%
Neptune Orient Lines reported Monday that its container-shipping unit APL transported 156,200 40-foot equivalent units (FEUs) during the four-week period ended Oct. 21, up 11 percent compared to the same period last year.
APL’s average revenue per FEU rose 2 percent to $2,936 from $2,867.
For the year to date, APL’s volumes grew 12 percent year-on-year to 1.58 million FEUs from 1.40 million FEUs. Average revenue per FEU for the year so far has risen 5 percent to $2,836 from $2,696 in the year-earlier period.
