APL’s container volumes rise 13% in June
“Reflecting continued strong demand growth,” Neptune Orient Lines, parent company of APL, reported a 13 percent rise in container traffic in June, to 156,600 40-foot equivalent units (FEUs) when compared to the same period last year.
For the year to date, the carrier said it has carried 960,300 FEUs, a 13 percent increase over the same period a year ago.
During the four-week period from June 4 to July 1, APL’s average revenue per FEU rose 7 percent to $2,769 from $2,584 a year ago.
