APL’s July traffic up 10%, revenue up 5%

   APL’s container traffic increased 10 percent to 149,800 40-foot equivalent units (FEUs) during the four-week period ended July 29, compared to the same period last year, while its average revenue per FEU rose 5 percent to $2,963 from $2,825.

   For the year-to-date, APL’s volumes grew 13 percent year-on-year to 1.1 million FEUs from 982,200 FEUs. Average revenue per FEU for the year so far has risen 7 percent to $2,795, compared to $2,618 in the year-earlier period.
