APM Terminals named preferred bidder for Apapa terminal
A.P. Moller-Maersk group-owned APM Terminals has been selected by the Nigerian Bureau of Public Enterprises as preferred bidder for the concession to operate and manage Apapa container terminal for a period of 25 years.
APM Terminals said it plans to make investments in infrastructure refurbishment’s at Apapa, upgrading the yard area in particular, as well as improving handling equipment, including new generation ship-to-shore gantry cranes.
Recently, APM Terminals has won concessions for container terminals at the Belgian port of Zeebrugge and Tangiers, Morocco.
