Astar dispatchers agree to new contract
Dispatchers at Astar Air Cargo have finalized a tentative, five-year labor agreement, the Teamsters union said.
A key issue for the union was transitioning from the old labor agreement reached with DHL Airways, the previous owner of the company, to a new deal that provided improved job security.
The contract, which includes wage and overtime increases, still must be ratified by rank-and-file members. Cincinnati-based Teamsters Local 100 has scheduled a ratification vote on Nov. 29.
