BAX GLOBAL EXPANDS ASIAN OCEAN SERVICES
BAX Global has expanded its weekly express ocean freight export consolidation service to the Pacific Rim to include Japan, Korea and China.
With offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Xiamen and Hong Kong, BAX Global is also expanding its ocean services into interior points in China.
BAX Global consolidates less-than-containerload cargo at 38 U.S. receiving stations for shipment to the Pacific Rim.
“Our new Pacific Rim service cuts BAX's transit times significantly,” said Peter Gruettner, vice president, ocean services, for BAX. “For example, Los Angeles to Singapore now takes 16 days where it used to take 21 days.”
The Pacific Rim service initially served Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and India.
