Bennett to head North Carolina port planning team
Bill Bennett has been named vice president of the North Carolina State Ports Authority’s newly created port planning and development team.
Bennett, formerly managing director of engineering and maintenance, joined the authority in 2002 after 27 years of service in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Cris Mowrey, senior project manager, Stephanie Ayers, planning and development manager, and Layton Bedsole, director of environmental affairs, join him in the new department, charged with overseeing the authority’s development and expansion plans.
Mark Blake has joined the authority as director of engineering and maintenance. He was chief engineer at Port Canaveral in Florida.
