Bernuth announces bunker charge increase
Bernuth Lines Thursday said it would increase its bunker fuel surcharge for its Caribbean island ports of call, effective Nov. 4.
The charge will affect all Bernuth shipments between the United States and Anguilla, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, Nevis, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Vincent, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago.
The charge will increase to $216 (from $168) for 20-foot containers, $416 (from $320) for 40-foot containers, and $471 (from $363) for equipment more than 40 feet.
