BLAST-RESISTANT CONTAINER RECEIVES FAA APPROVAL
Telair International Inc. confirmed that it has received Federal Aviation Administration approval for a blast resistant aircraft baggage container.
The hardened unit load device (HULD) successfully passed FAA’s blast tests, and Telair has received a Technical Standard Order (TSO-C90) from the FAA, clearing the HULD container for marketplace applications.'
The company will begin manufacturing units this month.
Telair said the HULD will be primarily used to provide security for the on-board transportation of baggage, and is fully compatible with Telair and other standard aircraft cargo loading systems used by other air cargo and passenger carriers worldwide. Telair is the country’s first air cargo container design and manufacturing company to successfully pass FAA’s blast-resistant container test, it said.
