The third-party logistics arm of Class I railway BNSF says the new office further strengthens its service offerings across North America, plus provides additional local resources to support the company.
Texas-based multi-modal third-party logistics service provider BNSF Logistics, a subsidiary of Class I railroad BNSF, has opened an office in St. Petersburg, Florida, the company announced Jan. 3.
“This further strengthens BNSF Logistics’ service offering across North America and provides additional local resources to support this global company,” the firm explained in a statement.
Including the new St. Petersburg location, BNSF Logistics now has over 30 offices throughout North America, the company says.
“The Tampa Bay, Fla. region is one of the fastest growing areas in the country due to its reasonable cost of living, overall quality of life, and opportunities for recent college graduates in a variety of industries,” BNSF Logistics Regional Manager Jason Skorczewski said.
“Specifically, we chose to locate the office in downtown St. Petersburg. It’s an attractive area that allows us to pull candidates from three surrounding counties; Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Manatee,” Skorczewski continued. “We are excited to get started in our new space in January 2018.”
The new office, according to BNSF, will be led by Branch Manager Sam Garnatz, who’s being transferred from the company’s downtown Chicago office.
