BOC Edwards selects Schenker, BAX Global

   BOC Edwards, a provider of vacuum technology for industrial, scientific, process, and semiconductor applications, has selected Schenker and BAX Global as its exclusive provider of European land distribution services to and from its primary service hub in Brno, Czech Republic.

   BAX Global has been BOC Edwards' sole provider of air and sea freight forwarding services between the United Kingdom and United States since 2005.

   In February, Schenker's parent company, the German rail and logistics giant Deutsche Bahn, bought BAX Global for $1.1 billion from U.S. security firm The Brink’s Co.

   'We were able to leverage our existing relationship with BAX Global to gain access to Schenker's extensive European transport network,” said Howard Linton, BOC Edwards' general manager global supply chain logistics. 'BAX Global has established a strategic understanding of our business needs and in partnership with its Schenker colleagues has delivered an innovative cost effective solution to BOC Edwards.'
