Boeing announces 787 delivery delays
The Boeing Co. announced a six-month delay in the initial deliveries of the 787 Dreamliner due to continued challenges completing assembly of the first airplanes.
Deliveries of the plane are now slated to begin in late November or December 2008, instead of an original target of May 2008.
The 787 is a family of airplanes in the 200- to 300-seat class that will carry passengers on routes of 3,500 to 8,500 nautical miles.
