BOLLORE GROUP SEES IMPROVED RESULT FROM TRANSPORT ARM

   Bollor' Investissement, the French conglomerate that owns the shipping lines Delmas and OTAL, the forwarding company SDV and the port operator SAGA, said its transport activities generated a 26-percent increase in their operating profit in 2002.

   The group did not disclose the amount of the profit from transport. The group’s overall operating income was 166 million euros ($173 million) in 2002, up from 139 million euros in 2001.

   Bollor' Investissement’s group revenue increased to 5.5 billion euros ($5.7 billion) in 2002 from 5.1 billion euros in 2001. Group net income for 2002 was 60 million euros ($63 million), down from 154 million euros in the previous year.
