BREMEN PORTS COMPANY TO CONSULT ON LITHUANIA PROJECT
Bremenports GmbH & Co. KG has been appointed by Lithuanian authorities to provide consultancy services for the building of a 420-meter-long quay section in the port of Klaipeda.
To prepare the port for increasing business, the Lithuanian government is making substantial infrastructure investments, Bremenports said. Lithuania will join the Europe Union next year.
Klaipeda is the northernmost ice-free port in the eastern Baltic Sea.
Bremenports took over the operation of the ports of Bremerhaven and Bremen from the port authority of Bremen.
