Bremer picks Coast Guard captain to advise Iraqi ministry
Ambassador L. Paul Bremer III, Coalition Provisional Authority Administrator in Iraq, has appointed Capt. Manson K. Brown of the U.S. Coast Guard as senior advisor for Iraq’s Ministry of Transportation.
Brown was chief of the officer personnel management division at the Coast Guard Personnel Command.
A native of Washington, D.C., Brown graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1978. He is a registered civil engineer in Florida.
The ministry to which Brown has been appointed has responsibility for the overall management of Iraq’s transportation infrastructure.
