British Airways adds freighter, China scheduled service
British Airways World Cargo said it is adding a fourth freighter to its fleet, enabling the airline to offer for the first time direct freighter service from the United Kingdom to Shanghai, China, as well as new destinations in Chicago and Kuwait.
Starting in September, British Air will operate a twice-weekly service to and from Shanghai. A new weekly flight from Chicago will serve Kuwait, a new destination as well, and provide additional connections to other freighter destinations.
British Airways is the first airline in the United Kingdom to add freighter capacity on the route to China following the completion of the U.K.-China aviation services treaty in February.
