BRITISH POST OFFICE BUYS FRENCH PARCELS FIRM
The British Post Office has further expanded its European parcels activities by acquiring Extand, a French postal and express parcels company.
The British Post Office bought the company for 122 million euro ($110 million) from the French logistics and trucking group Geodis.
Extand operates a network of 60 branches in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. It has annual revenues of 1.3 billion French francs ($180 million).
The takeover is the latest in a series of purchases by the British Post Office in Europe since the beginning of last year.
