C.H. ROBINSON NAMES WIEHOFF CEO
C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. appointed John P. Wiehoff as chief executive officer, effective May 7.
Wiehoff, presently president, will succeed D.R. “Sid” Verdoorn, currently chief executive officer and chairman, who will continue as chairman of the board of directors.
Wiehoff’s new role as president and chief executive officer will be the culmination of a three-year succession process, during which he has taken over the day-to-day management of the company, C.H. Robinson said.
Wiehoff was named president in 1999 after serving as senior vice president, office of the president and chief financial officer. He joined the company as controller in 1992.
C.H. Robinson Worldwide is one of the largest third-party logistics companies in North America, serving 15,000 customers through a network of 139 offices in North America, South America and Europe.
