C.H. Robinson said it had a profit $109.2 million in the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31, 5.9 percent more than the $103.2 million earned in the same 2010 period.
Revenue was $2.6 for the quarter, 10.4 percent more than the $2.3 billion recorded in the fourth quarter of 2010.
For the full year, the company had a profit of $431.6 million, 11.5 percent more than the $387 million earned the previous year. Revenue in 2011 amounted to $10.3 billion, 11.5 percent more than the $9.3 billion reported in 2010.
When compared to the same period a year earlier, fourth quarter truck revenue was up 5.5 percent to $306 million, intermodal revenue rose 7.9 percent to $10.2 million, ocean revenue climbed 1.8 percent to $17 million, air revenue was down 18.1 percent to $8.8 million, and other logistic services were up 12.6 percent to $16.2 million. Sourcing revenue was down 13.5 percent to $27.4 million, and payment services were up 4.1 percent at $15.3 million.
