Caja Logistics starts Savannah/Mexico box service
Brunswick, Ga.-based Caja Logistics has added a weekly container service between Savannah and Progreso in Mexico.
The Mexico/East Coast Express (MXE) uses one 366-TEU multipurpose vessel, Caja Countess, which calls at Savannah every Monday with arrival and departures at Progreso on Thursdays and Fridays.
Caja’s existing Mexico/Gulf Express (MXG) connects Progreso with Houston using a similar 366-TEU ship, Caja Duchess.
The company also operates a 10-day Mexico/Caribbean Express (MXC) service from Progreso to and from Jamaica and the Dominican Republic as well as a weekly South American Feeder (SAF) linking the ports of Rio Grande, Montevideo, and Buenos Aires.
