Canadian Pacific Railway, Elk Valley Coal sign five-year deal
Canadian Pacific Railway and Elk Valley Coal Corp. have reached a five-year agreement for the transportation of metallurgical coal from Elk Valley’s five mines in southeast British Columbia to Vancouver area ports for export.
The agreement is retroactive to April 1, 2004, extending to March 31, 2009. In addition, the companies have agreed to discontinue all legal and regulatory proceedings relating to their previous contract dispute.
