CANADIAN SOFTWOOD LUMBER ANTIDUMPING INVESTIGATION DEADLINE EXTENDED

The U.S. Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration has extended the deadline for its “preliminary determination” in the antidumping investigation of certain softwood lumber products from Canada to no later than Sept. 24.

Commerce initiated the antidumping investigation on April 23. The government said it was extending the deadline by two weeks at the request of petitioners involved with the investigation.

Similarly, last week, Commerce extended the deadline for its results in the countervailing duty investigation of Canadian softwood lumber imports until Aug. 9.
