CARGO 2000 ELECTS EXELÆS FOUNTAIN AS VICE CHAIRMAN
Cargo 2000, a group of airlines and freight forwarders implementing new management systems for the air cargo industry, has elected as Mick Fountain as vice chairman.
Fountain is chief executive officer, technology and global freight management, for Exel, a U.K.-based provider of logistics services.
Cargo 2000 has also elected Tony Charaf, senior vice president of Delta Air Logistics, as a board member.
The group’s full board, in addition to Fountain and Charaf, comprises board chairman Roger Gibson, vice president of cargo, United Airlines; Kenny Tang, general manager of cargo, Cathay Pacific Airways; Wolfgang Schmitz, business excellence and development, Lufthansa Cargo; Guenter Rohrmann, head of global customers, Danzas AEI; Harry Takahashi, chairman, Yusen Air & Sea Service, and Patrick Moebel, vice president, air freight, Schenker.
