Cargolux adds Doha flights, increases fuel surcharge
Luxembourg-based all-cargo airline Cargolux is starting weekly flights between Luxembourg and Doha in Qatar, commencing July 4.
The flights will depart Luxembourg every Monday morning, with arrival in Doha in the afternoon. From Doha, the flight continues to Hong Kong, with arrival on Tuesday morning, returning, via Baku, to Luxembourg on Tuesday afternoon.
Cargolux said the service will carry general cargo, oil drilling equipment and perishables to Doha.
Cargolux also said it will increase its fuel surcharge on all shipments, effective July 8, in response to rising fuel prices.
The current level of Cargolux’s fuel surcharge will be adjusted to 0.45 euros (43 cents) per kilogram. The charge is based on actual weight and will be implemented across the Cargolux network according to local legislation and wherever it is legally permitted, the airline said.
