CARGOSMART APPOINTS SIU CEO
CargoSmart Ltd., the container shipping portal set up by Hong Kong-based Orient Overseas Container Line, has appointed Steve Siu as chief executive officer.
Siu has been a member of CargoSmart’s board of directors, and was chief technology officer of OOCL before his appointment as CEO of CargoSmart.
Siu brings over 12 years of OOCL management experience to CargoSmart. In his most recent role at OOCL, he oversaw the development and refinement of the business model and infrastructure of IRIS-2, the carrier’s object-based client/server information system. Before joining OOCL, Siu worked for Cable & Wireless and Jardine Logica Ltd.
In separate announcements, CargoSmart has also appointed Dorinda Jung as carrier program director and Ian Sehgal as strategic alliances director.
