CAROTRANS OPENS CONTAINER FREIGHT STATION IN DETROIT
CaroTrans International Inc., the Union, N.J.-based neutral non-vessel-operating common carrier, has established a container freight station in Detroit.
The CFS will consolidate cargo from the Detroit area, which will be trucked to Chicago to meet up with CaroTrans' domestic and international services. Receiving in Detroit will be one day prior to Chicago receiving.
'We are now able to offer through pricing from our Detroit CFS 5to customers overseas and in the U.S.,' said Bob Vietti, vice president, operations, CaroTrans International.
CaroTrans has 26 receiving stations throughout North America.
