CARRIERS ADD SAN JUAN TO U.S. GULF/EAST COAST SOUTH AMERICA SERVICE

   Companhia Libra de Navega''o, Lykes Lines and TMM Lines have added a fortnightly southbound call at San Juan to their joint weekly U.S. Gulf/East Coast South America service.

   The first call at the Puerto Rican port was made by the “Libra Buenos Aires” on Aug. 14.

   The service uses six ships, averaging 1,850 TEUs, with Lykes operating three ships, Libra two and TMM Lines one. APL also takes space on the service.

   The revised port rotation is Veracruz, Mexico; Altamira, Mexico; Houston; New Orleans; San Juan (fortnightly); Salvador (fortnightly); Vitoria (fortnightly); Rio de Janeiro (fortnightly); Santos; Paranagua (fortnightly);    Buenos Aires; Itajai; Santos; Rio de Janeiro (fortnightly); Puerto Cabello; Veracruz; Altamira; Houston and    New Orleans.
