Carriers end U.S./West African discussion agreement
The remaining ocean carriers of the West African Discussion Agreement will terminate the cooperative group on Feb. 9.
The termination follows the decision of HUAL A/S, one of the last two members of the U.S./West Africa agreement, to leave the group. Atlantic Bulk Carriers is the agreement’s other remaining member.
Last year, Mediterranean Shipping Co., A.P. Moller-Maersk Sealand, P&O Nedlloyd, Safmarine Container Lines and Zim Israel Navigation Co. all left the discussion agreement.
