CARRIERS EXPAND ASIA/NORTH AMERICA/SOUTH AMERICA AMPAC SERVICE
Lykes Lines, TMM Lines, Maruba and Columbus Line are expanding their joint Ampac multi-trade service which connects Asia, North and South America, by adding vessels and increasing their service frequency from fortnightly to every 10 days.
The Ampac service calls ports in Asia and on the west coasts of North America, Central America and South America.
The service now employs seven vessels, instead of five previously.
The change coincides with the start-up of Columbus Line’s participation next month in the Asia/South America and Asia/North America legs of the multi-trade service. Columbus said that its entry in the Asia/U.S./Mexico transpacific trade next month “is a very modest one, with the prime focus being on expanded service to our customers in Latin America.”
TMM, Lykes and Maruba already market the Asia/South America and Asia/North America legs of the Ampac service.
