CARRIERS FINALIZE EUROPE/MEDITERRANEAN/INDIAN SUBCONTINENT SERVICE

   China Ocean Shipping Co., Evergreen Marine, “K” Line and Malaysia International Shipping Corp. have announced details of their new joint weekly container service connecting north European and Mediterranean ports with Sri Lanka and India.

   The service will start from Colombo on March 22 and will employ 6 vessels ranging from 2,300-TEU    to 2,700-TEU capacity. The port rotation for the new service is Felixstowe, Hamburg, Antwerp, Port Said, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Port Said, Felixstowe, Hamburg and Antwerp.
