Carriers merge Europe/West Coast South America loops
The Europe/West Coast of South America “Eurosal” consortium of CMA CGM, Compania Sud Americana de Vapores (CSAV), Hamburg S'd, Hapag-Lloyd and P&O Nedlloyd will merge with CSAV’s “Andes Express” service in the same trade from late April.
Following the integration of the two services the five partners will operate a total of 15 container ships in two jointly operated loops, creating the largest carrier grouping and the first twice-weekly service in the trade.
The first loop will deploy eight 2,500-TEU ships calling at Rotterdam; Tilbury; Hamburg; Antwerp; Kingston; Cartagena; Manzanillo, Panama; Buenaventura; Valparaiso; Buenaventura; Manzanillo; Cartagena; Kingston; and back to Rotterdam.
In the second string, seven 1,700-TEU vessels will call at Rotterdam; Hamburg; Antwerp; Le Havre; Kingston; Cartagena; Manzanillo, Panama; Guayaquil; Callao; Paita; Guayaquil; Manzanillo; Kingston; and back to Rotterdam.
