Carriers to start Asia/Africa/East Coast South America service
CMA CGM, China Shipping Container Lines and Maruba are starting a joint weekly Asia/Africa/East Coast South America service mid-May.
The new service will be called “Seas” and will deploy 10 vessels averaging 2,500 TEUs, with CMA CGM contributing five ships, China Shipping three and Maruba two.
The full port rotation of the “Seas” service will be Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Port Kelang, Durban, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Paranagua, Santos, Port Kelang, Hong Kong and back to Busan.
At the same time, CMA CGM is ending its participation on the joint weekly Asia/Africa/East Coast South America “ASAX” service in partnership with Compania Sud Americana de Vapores. CMA CGM provides two of 10 ships on the “ASAX” loop.
