CASS REPORTS 12% INCREASE IN NET INCOME
Cass Information Systems Inc. recorded third-quarter net income of $1.9 million, a 12-percent increase over the third quarter of 2000.
The company said the strong gain reflects increases in both fee and investment income. Despite the economic downturn, the number of freight shipments processed during the quarter increased 7 percent over the year-earlier period.
Net income for the first nine months of 2001 was $5.4 million, up 2 percent from the same period of 2000.
Cass Information Systems is a provider of freight and utility invoice payment, rating, auditing and information services.
