Cathay Pacific to serve Russia

   Cathay Pacific Airways will next year extend its existing codeshare agreement with Aeroflot to start a three-times-weekly service calling Hong Kong, Moscow and Manchester in the United Kingdom.

   Pending government approvals, Cathay will join the Airbus A340-300-operated service March 27, becoming the first Hong Kong airline to fly to Russia.

   Also March 27, Cathay will extend its Hong Kong/Rome flights to daily from the present five times per week.
