CBP officials brief Mexican trade on WCO standards

U.S Customs and Border Protection officials, led by Commissioner Robert C. Bonner, discussed common cross-border trade and immigration issues with their Mexican counterparts during three days of talks last week in Mexico City, according to an event summary on the agency’s Web site.

Among the highlights of the trip was a conference to introduce Mexican companies to the World Customs Organization’s framework for global security standards. Mexican customs officials addressed how they plan to comply with common rules for cargo security once they are adopted.
