CBP proposes Sacramento port of entry
U.S. Customs and Border Protection proposes to establish a full-time port of entry at Sacramento, Calif.
The port area has been serviced by CBP officers from the San Francisco port of entry. To accommodate the new Sacramento port of entry, CBP will realign the port boundaries of San Francisco.
CBP said the change is part of its ongoing program to use its staff, facilities and resources to “provide better service to carriers, importers, and the general public.”
CBP will take comments about the proposed Sacramento port of entry through Nov. 1. For more information, contact Dennis Dore of CBP’s Office of Field Operations in Washington at (202) 344-2776.
