CCNI PLANS U.S./CENTRAL AMERICA/CARIBBEAN SERVICE
Chilean carrier Compania Chilena de Navegacion Interoceanica will start a weekly Central America/Caribbean service through Port Everglades, Fla. Feb. 26.
The service will use Port Everglades' common-user terminal operated by South Stevedoring Inc. The new service will connect Port Everglades with Rio Haina, Dominican Republic; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Cartagena, Colombia; Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, and Puerto Barrios, Guatemala.
CCNI anticipates the service will handle 15,000 TEUs a year.
