Ceres handles first ship at New Orleans terminal

Ceres Gulf yesterday handled its first vessel at the newly opened Napoleon Avenue container terminal of the port of New Orleans.

The call of the “Zim Caribe IV” came as Ceres Gulf was completing its transfer from berth 4 of the France Road terminal.

The Napoleon Avenue container terminal began full operations in early January, the port of New Orleans said. The $101-million terminal is being operated jointly by Ceres Gulf and P&O Ports of Louisiana.
