The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is celebrating a Bush administration decision to allow Indian mangoes to be imported into the United States, the organization said Tuesday.

'Thanks to the persistence of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's U.S.-India Business Council, the Bush administration has removed the last of the barriers that for 18 years prevented the import to the United States of delicious Indian mangoes,' said Ron Somers, president of the Chamber's U.S -India Business Council.

'This breakthrough of opening mango trade is highly emblematic of a push by both the U.S. and India to deepen two-way trade to $50 billion this year.'
