CHAMBER STARTS U.S.-CHILE FREE TRADE COALITION
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce will launch a U.S.-Chile free trade coalition this Wednesday in Washington.
Chile is currently the sixth largest market for U.S. exports in Latin America, and the United States is the largest export market for Chilean produced goods. Trade between the country was estimated to be $6.6 billion in 2001.
“A mutually beneficial free trade agreement will advance U.S. interests in numerous ways, including improved market access for agricultural and manufactured goods and services, strengthened intellectual property and investor protections and nondiscriminatory goverment procurement,” the chamber said.
