CHEN IS APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF YANGMING
T. C. Chen has been appointed president of Yangming Marine Transport by the company’s board of directors. Concurrently, Chen remains chairman of the Taiwanese shipping group.
He replaces Dr. Frank F. H. Lu, who stepped down after five years as president. Lu, who has worked for the company for nearly 40 years, has overseen Yangming’s privatization and expansion since 1995.
Lu will be retained by the shipping company as a group chief advisor.
He has also been named chairman of Taiwan Navigation Co. Ltd., with effect from Sept. 1.
