CHINA CARGO EXPECTS TO GET CHINA/U.S. ROUTE
China Cargo Airlines, the dedicated freight carrier owned by China Eastern Airlines, expects to become the country’s fourth airline to fly to the United States by April 2001.
The Chinese carrier now owns no flight routes to the U.S..
China Cargo expects to be licensed this week as an independent carrier with its own routes.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Transportation announced that United Parcel Service would becpome the fourth U.S. carrier to serve China, alongside United Airlines, Northwest Airlines and Federal Express.
