CHINA SHIPPING CONSOLIDATES LOGISTICS UNITS

China Shipping Group has reorganized and consolidated its China-based domestic freight forwarding, container depots, warehousing and trucking activities into a new company, China Shipping Logistics Co., Ltd.

With a registered capital of 500 million Renmibi ($80 million), China Shipping Logistics formally started trading on April 18.

The company has three regional operating companies called CSL East China, CSL Northeast China and CSL South China.

Li Kelin, president of China Shipping Group and chairman of China Shipping Logistics, said the reorganized company is ready to provide full logistics services to its customers, with the support of the container shipping services operated by China Shipping Container Lines.

“China Shipping Logistics will concentrate on the domestic market at the moment, but will explore the possibilities of offering global logistics services,” China Shipping Group said.
